Friday Night Frights: Devil’s Nightmare!

February 27th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

Aaron is, yet again, bringing us our weekend horror fix with this week’s Friday Night Frights!  Going right along with Episode 51’s topic of Satanic encounters, here he is to present The Devil’s Nightmare (IMDB)

As the last scarlet light of the sun slips beneath the horizon and the world slips quietly into night, it is time for us to, once more, embark on our weekly sojourn into the world of shadows.

Before you is a tale of infanticide, a seductive succubus, the seven deadly sins and a pact with Satan.

A group of stranded travelers, each a slave to their own vices and inner demons, must seek shelter in the foreboding caste of mysterious Barron. Before their long night is over they will face ultimate evil, broth from without and within.

Are you ready to follow me into the darkness? Good, take my hand. I will guide you, but you must take the first step.

CTX - From Dusk Till Dawn!

February 24th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

Here it is folks… the one you’ve been waiting for. From Dusk Till Dawn has been tainted (meaning been rubbed on Fergie’s taint) and has been abused by the Cadaver Lab!

So, that means it’s time to sit back, throw From Dusk Till Dawn on the tube, and listen to the dulcit tones of Fergie and the rest of the hoard.

Thanks to everyone who participated!

Friday Night Frights: Moon of the Wolf!

February 19th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

Welcome back, fans of the macabre, to another installment of Friday Night Frights. With the recent release of Universal’s remake of The Wolf Man getting mixed reviews at best, I thought I’d try and dig us up a little howler of our own. I’ll admit that of all the archetypal monsters, the werewolf is probably my least favorite. Still, there are a few of flicks that I enjoy. Which brings us to tonight’s furry feature.

A woman is murdered in a small southern town and the local lawman sets out to investigate while developing a new relationship with a former resident just returned to town. How does this involve the local rich family with a spotty reputation and a connection to the dead girl?

The movie has a good mix of werewolf action more typical small town gossip, scandal and character interaction. It is best described as “In the heat of the night with a werewolf.” Enjoy.

Cadaver Trax: Night of the Demons

February 17th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

The latest installment of CTX has been announced and I think that we have found a movie where the director looked into the future, saw that there would one day be a rag-tag bunch of jerk-offs who put something together called Cadaver Trax, and made this movie solely for their pleasure…

The Movie is:

Night of the Demons from 1988

Here is a little snippet from the man himself… Ferguson:

“hey kids… you’re not gonna believe what i found in here…”

NIGHT OF THE DEMONS (1988)
one of the finest cinematic achievements of all time.

starring…
who cares, Stooge if funny as shit and you get to see lipstick tit stabbing.

due date is March 19th
do as you see fit!

Friday Night Frights: PANIC!

February 16th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

Emerging from the forgotten crypts of the public domain, and crawling from the shadows at the bottom of the bargain bin, they rise. Flickering with an unearthly glow they draw ever nearer. Madmen, monsters, undead fiends and nameless things from beyond the stars are gathering around you in the silence of the night. The chill of their evil fills the air. It is time for you to give into the fear that takes your breath before you can scream. It is time to see the sites should not be seen…

Welcome to  the first episode of Friday Night Frights. This project is my attempt to recreate some of the most enjoyable times of my misspent youth. I used to live for our local late night horror movie show. I’d wait all week to see what the movies were going to be and every Friday night I’d be up into the early hours of Saturday morning getting acquainted with Hammer, Amicus, AIP, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Caltiki the Immortal Monster and The Evil Brain from Outer Space.

These movies brought me so much joy and if, through these weekly posts, I can engender even a fraction of that excitement and anticipation, I will consider myself very luck.

And now, without further ado, lets dispense with handshakes and fleeting glimpses into my questionable childhood and get down to some serious cheese.

This evening I bring you a little Italian monster on the loose flick called Panic (AKA Bakterion) starring David Warbeck and Janet Agren, whome fans of Lucio Fulci will remember from “The Beyond” and “City of the Living Dead”, respectively.

“A British research scientist is working with various forms of bacteria when he is accidentally exposed to a deadly variety due to a lab accident. The exposure transforms the scientist into a hideous, flesh-eating monster and he begins a rampage in the local community that has the government considering whether or not to destroy the entire town to contain the problem.”

Will our leads be able to track down the bloodthirsty madman? Did the Writers of this movie actually name their main character Captain Kirk? Does this movie really deserve its 3 star rating and nearly unanimous panning IMDB? Turn out the lights, pops some corn and lets find out.
