Cadaver Lab Episode 53: The Mind Fuzz Episode

March 28th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

I know… I know… What is a mind fuzz… I’ve heard it all before… Just leave me alone!  Sorry, I felt like I had to get that out in the beginning.

Anyhow, Episode 53 is all about movies that will mess with your mind.  Stephen and I talk about David Lynch’s Eraserhead, Grey brings us his Slasher Central based on the flick Shrooms, Aaron brings us the Public Domain mind fuzz as he talks about Bloody Wednesday.  As if that wasn’t enough, Johnny Krueg and I talk about Adam Green’s Spiral, Session 9, and The Signal.

Lastly, there is a contest embedded in this episode.  Make sure to hit the forums for details!

How do you solve a problem like Gamara? Well, if you are the scientists of Japan, you pack him into a rocket and shoot him into space. He’s Mars’s problem now. That is until the rocket collides with a meteor while on route to the red planet and is soon back in Japan, destroying dams and looking for the electric current that sustains his power.

Meanwhile a group of thieves has stolen a giant opal from the shrine of a mysterious South Seas island. This open turns out to be actually be an egg and soon enough the giant, reptilian Buragon is born and begins to cause a fair amount of mayhem of his own.

Attracted by the energy emitted from Buragon’s attacks, Gamara heads in his direction. It is another fierce clash of the titans here on Friday Night Frights. Op some corn, turn out the lights and lets get ready to rubmle!

Cadaver Lab Episode 52 - Full Moon Entertainment

March 16th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

This week, the Cadaver Lab presents another episode of epic proportions… Maybe it’s just that the topic is Full Moon Entertainment and this subject cannot be abbreviated… Or, maybe it’s because we just can’t shut our freaking mouths!

Either way, we have a lot of stuff to talk about. Grey brings us Slasher Central featuring Puppet Master, Stephen and Mike discuss 1964’s Devil Doll, Aaron brings us It Came from the Public Domain featuring a movie brought to us by Charles Band… but before Full Moon. Finally, Johnny and Mike discuss three unappreciated Full Moon masterpieces!

One last note: In the next Cadaver Trax, we’re going to be enhancing Night of the Demons. Have your audio to Ferguson by April 2!

Friday Night Frights - Monster from a Prehistoric Planet

March 13th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

I realize that this isn’t called Saturday afternoon frights, but unfortunately March Madness has begun and the call of hundreds of college hoops games has made me shirk my horrific duties…. Here’s Aaron:

Monster Movie March continues to unleash terrible havoc across the face of the Internet as it lumbers its way to your desktop, leaving a wake of death and destruction in it’s path.
While Gamara is resting up for next week’s big fight with Barugon, let us turn our attention to a mysterious South Seas island populated by a tribe of people who worship a great and terrible god they call Gappa.
While a group of scientist is on the island, researching the tribe and its customs, an earthquake reveals a previously hidden cave that contains a giant reptile egg.
The greedy businessman who was financing their expedition takes control of their find and, once the egg hatches, he puts the strange creature on display in his zoo.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, the creature’s parents are none to happy about all of this and Gappa and his mate are off to the big city and before you know it, Tokyo property values are plummeting once again.

Cadaver Lab Episode 51: The Unholy Quad

March 6th, 2010 - 0 Comment(s)

Have you ever heard the term “Better late than never”?   Well, that’s what we’ll say about this episode.  Though it is late, it is well worth the wait since the Cadaver Lab is bringing you around three and a half hours of ball-tingling goodnesss!

One thing to remember though… You may notice that in the intro, it sounds like I’m falling asleep.  That’s because I was!

Other than my apparent pending exhaustion coma in the intro, we’ve got a ton of stuff this episode.  Grey brings us Slasher Central, Aaron brings us It Came from the Public Domain, Stephen and I talk a little classic horror, and Johnny and I wrap the whole thing up as we talk about 3 unholy movies!
