 Boondock Saints 2
I loved, it was violent and irreverant. A great time was had by all! Rottontomatos hated it and called it over the top violence, unoriginal, and some other crap, blah, blah, blah. They need to pull their head out of their ass, and laugh occasionally.

I need to see it. All of my friends are huge fans of the original and they told me not to bother with this one. I'll have to see it for myself.

I saw Booddock Saints for the first time early yesterday morning and LOVED it. Once I get Netflix back, All Saints Day will be first on the list.

I loved 2, I think it was as entertaining as the original, not to mention I kept having flashbacks to the original movie. I don't understand why some people are having trouble with this one. And it has certainly set it's self up to have sequel.

I loved the first one... I started the second one, and because I started it at 1am on a work night, I fell asleep. I woke up and saw a naked dude running around. I liked what I actually saw, but I'll have to finish it.
I will say though... I liked the "sidekick" in the first one better than the second one... and who can beat Willem Dafoe? I still enjoyed what I saw and hope that it keeps up its steam.

 Re: Boondock Saints 2
I hate to be the naysayer of the bunch, but I thought All Saints Day was garbage. Now, I looooooved the first one. Clever, witty, good characters (I can't believe some reviewers were offended by them. I hate to say it people, but that's how a lot of people here act, minus the killing) and a fun way of telling the story.
It's sequal...not so much. It tried too hard to create an epic plot that was waaayyy too predictable, you don't see as much of the Saints as you should, it's far too long, and the ending is filmed like it's supposed to be a big surprise who the bad guys is, but you already know who it is, so is it a special cameo? Nope, just some dude.
Also, there's only so many times I can see an action scene where the heroes slide on their knees while shooting in slow motion. At least the first one had some variety.
Honestly, the whole thing feels like a script I would write during the early phases. There are so many ideas that it wants to get across that it becomes unfocused and the "coolest" ones don't translate well as a result. I say coolest in quotes, because it's pretty obvious what parts Troy Duffy liked the best, but some ideas are like dreams. It's groundbreaking and amazing when you see it in your head, yet it's impossible to translate it for others so they can see it like you can.
